THE LAW OF REVERSED EFFORT- Fabiyi Ifeoluwa Babatunde

THE LAW OF REVERSED EFFORT |• Why You Always Get The Opposite of What You Desired or Prayed For •| The law of reversed effort states: “When your desires and imagination are in conflict, your imagination invariably gains the day.” ©Coué If, for example, you were asked to walk on a plank placed on the floor, you would do so without question. Now suppose the same plank were placed twenty feet up in the air between two walls, would you walk it? Your DESIRE is to walk on the plank, but your IMAGINATION is that of falling down and breaking your neck. Your desire to walk it would be counter-acted by your imagination or fear of falling. The law of reversed effort will quickly come to play and ensure it is your dominant idea or thought, which would be the picture of falling, conquer. Your desire, will, or effort to walk on the plank would be reversed, and the dominant idea of failure would be reinforced. Mental effort 'to walk the plank' is invariably self-defeated, eventuating always in the opposite of what is desired. Your subconscious will always accept the stronger or dominant of two contradictory propositions and ideas. MATT. 18:19 says, "If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven". Who are these two? It means the harmonious union or agreement between your conscious and subconscious, between your desire and your imagination, between two minds, on any idea or desire. When there is no longer any quarrel in either part of your mind, your prayer will be answered. Why do you think you or someone you know read and studied hard for an examination, only to get into the exam hall and forget everything? It is not village people. Do you know of anybody who needs help? Why do you pray all day and end up getting the opposite of all you prayed for? How do you get both your conscious and subconscious mind to agree on an idea? How do you wish, prepare and get your desired results instead of the opposite?
